Program Description

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a special nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five.

Types of Services

  • Food vouchers for healthy foods such as milk, eggs, juice, cereal, peanut butter, dried beans and peas, and infant formula
  • Screening on growth / development and iron levels
  • Nutrition education
  • Breastfeeding education and support
  • Referrals for health care and other services as needed

Paying for Services

There are no charges for WIC services.

There are income requirements to be on WIC.

Availability

WIC staff will accommodate early or late appointments upon request as able.
