Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a special nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five.
Types of Services
- Food vouchers for healthy foods such as milk, eggs, juice, cereal, peanut butter, dried beans and peas, and infant formula
- Screening on growth / development and iron levels
- Nutrition education
- Breastfeeding education and support
- Referrals for health care and other services as needed
Paying for Services
There are no charges for WIC services.
There are income requirements to be on WIC.
