Inmate Capacity
The Burnett County Jail, along with the Communication / Dispatch Center, is located on the third floor of the Government Center. The maximum inmate capacity of the jail is 26. When capacity is met inmates are housed out of county at the following jails: Barron County, Bayfield County, Douglas County, and Polk County Jail. You may contact the jail in which the inmate is housed to schedule a visit with an inmate being detained there and inquire about visitation rules.

Visitation of Inmates
Visitation of jail inmates at the Burnett County Jail is Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. All visitors must be at least 18 years of age, must have a picture ID, and must sign in upon visitation. Anyone under the age of 18 is not allowed to visit an inmate. Persons who have been incarcerated in the Burnett County Jail during the previous 60 days will be denied visitation.
Visitation Rules
All socks and undergarments provided for inmates must be unopened and in the original package. Inmates cannot receive phone calls. Any non-emergency messages will not be passed to an inmate by staff.
